\begin{gathered} (6)/(8)\colon\text{Have moons} \\ (4)/(8)\colon\text{Have moons and rings} \\ \end{gathered}

So, the fraction of the planets in our solar system that have moons but don't have rings would be:

(6)/(8)-(4)/(8)=(6)/(8)-(1)/(2)=(1)/(4)

------------------------------------------------------------

Let:

T = Total playground

Fs = Fraction for the soccer field

Fb = Fraction for the basketball court

So, the remaining field will be:

\begin{gathered} R=T-Fs-Fb \\ R=1-(2)/(8)-(3)/(8) \\ R=1-(5)/(8) \\ R=(3)/(8) \end{gathered}
