We can find the range of the graph by taking note of the set of all y values, the dependent quantity, that will result from substituting all x values (the domain) into the function.

To do this we would look at the graph and note all the range of values that correspond to the y axis.

This then gives the range of values to be;


-3\le y<3

This is because, A which is one end of the range indicates -3, and is shaded(less than or equal to) and E which is another end of the range indicates +3 and is not shaded(strictly less than).
