hello

this is a simple algebraic question where we would use ratios to solve it

the chef intends to cook 5/6 pounds of pasta and plans to share it amongst x number of customers in ratio 1/12.

to find the number of customers, divide the quantity of the pasta by the ratio she intends to serve them with.

\begin{gathered} \text{number of customers }=\text{ }(5)/(6)\text{ / }(1)/(12) \\ \text{number of customers }=\text{ }(5)/(6)*(12)/(1) \\ \text{number of customers }=\text{ }(60)/(6) \\ number\text{ of customers }=\text{ 10} \\ \end{gathered}

she's can serve a maximum of 10 customers.
