Problem B

In b, the triangle is a right triangle so we can use trig functions

We want to find the hypotenuse. We have the adjacent side to the angle

cos theta = adj / hypotenuse

cos 25 = 10/f

f cos 25 = 10

f = 10 / cos 25

f =11.03377

Problem C

In c, we do not have a right triangle, so we have to use the law of sines

sin F sin H

------- = -------

f h

sin 50 sin 60

--------- = -------------

27 h

Using cross products

h sin 50 = 27 sin 60

Divide each side by sin 50

h = 27 sin 60 / sin 50

h = 30.52392
