Data

• Total: 600 employes

,

• Instructors: 434

,

• Full-time faculty: 325

,

• Instructors were full-time faculty: 250

Procedure

The problem is asking for the number of instructors or were full-time faculty.

434 employees are instructors and 250 of them are also full-time, then:

434-250=184

184 of them aren't full-time.

325 are full-time and 250 are also instructors, then:

325-250=75

75 of them aren't instructors.

Therefore, the number of employees who are instructors or full time is:

184+75+250=509

Answer: 509
