The given shape consist of two figures, rectangle with length l = 20 yd and width w = 9 yd.

The base of triangle is b = 20 yd and height of triangle is,

\begin{gathered} h=20-9 \\ =11 \end{gathered}

Determine the paper required for the shape.

\begin{gathered} A=20\cdot9+(1)/(2)\cdot20\cdot11 \\ =180+110 \\ =290 \end{gathered}

So answer is 290 square yards.
