Georgiana increased the amount of miles she can run from 5 miles to 9 miles. What is the percent of change in the amount of miles she can run?

To calculate the percentage change you have to calculate the increase first.

Increase= New number - original number

Then divide the increase by the original value and multiply it by 100


Increase=9-5=4

Percentage:


(4)/(5)\cdot100=80

The percent of change of the miles she can run is 80%
