In order to calculate how far the beam of laser will travel, we need to know that the speed of light is approximately 300,000 km/s.

So, using the formula for distance with constant speed, we have:

\begin{gathered} d=v\cdot t \\ d=300000\cdot61.1\cdot10^(-9) \\ d=183.3\cdot10^(-4)\text{ km} \\ d=183.3\cdot10^(-1)\text{ m}_{}_{} \\ d=18.33\text{ m} \end{gathered}

So the distance traveled is 18.33 meters.
