1). A container was kept at a pressure of 20.2 atm and a temperature of 13.6°C. What would be the new temperature, in Kelvin, if the pressure was decreased to 7.9 atm?2). answer and explanation

we first nee to convert the temperature to Kalvin and te do the clalculation

13.6 + 273.15 =286.75K

we know that P1/T1 = P2/T2

so to find the new temperature we simply say

T2 = P2T1/P1

= (7.9 x286.75)/20.2

= 112.14K

the new temp will be 112.14K
