Answer:

Slope: 16

y-intercept: (0, 0)

Yes it is proportional

Explanation:

What's the slope

To find the slope we can do rise over run.

192 - 96 96

----------------- = ----------- = 16

12 - 6 6

So the slope is 16

What is the y-intercept?

For the y intercept we can just look where the line crosses the y-line so (0, 0)

We can check that by inputing some numbers:

y = mx + b -------> 96 = 6 · 16 + b

96 = 96 + b

- 96 - 96

0 = b

in this equation b represents the y-intercept

Is it proportional?

And the definition of a proportional slope is if the equation is y = mx, which in this case it is true, as the equation is y = 16x. (m is the slope which we've already found above)

So evidently the slope is proportional.

the slope is 1, so put either “x” or “1” and the y-intercept is at the origin so it’s 0, so put “(0,0)”
