Remember that the formula for the volume of a cylinder is:


V=\pi r^2h

Where:

• r, is the ,radius, of the base

• h ,is the height of the cylinder

Notice that the base has a diameter of 20 ft. Therefore, the radius is 10 ft.

Using this data and the formula, we get that:


\begin{gathered} V=\pi(10^2)(17) \\ \rightarrow V=5340.71 \end{gathered}

The volume of the cylinder is:


2540.71ft^3
