Given that angle ABC and EBF form a right angle, if measurement of ABC = 30° and EBF

= 6x° what is the value of x?

We know that ABC and EBF are complementary, or add up to 90°. So:

ABC + EBF = 90°
ABC = 30°
EBF = 6x°

6x° + 30° = 90°
6x° + 30 - 30 = 90 - 30
6x° = 60°
6x°/6 = 60°/6
x° = 10°
