Firstly,we bring like terms together,giving a result of 4x-x=9+6.
We bring the x to 4x to easily solve it.As it was positive on the left side,it becomes negative on the right side and we bring the -6 on the right side to the left side to give 6.
This will make an answer of 3x=15
As we are finding the value of x alone,we divide both side by the coefficient of the variable which is 3 on both side to make x alone.3x/3 will give x while 15/3 will give 5.
THEREFORE X=5

Answer:

x = 5

Explanation:

Hello!

According to the question, what's the value of 4x-6=x+9

4x-6=x+9

Collect like terms

x - 4x = -6 - 9

-3x = -15

Divide both sides by the coefficient of x which is -3

-3x/-3 = -15/-3

x = 5

When checking

4x-6=x+9

(4)(5)−6 = 5+9

14=14

True
