Question:Two families went to a baseball game. The first family bought 5 pretzels and 4 sodas, which totaled $22. The second family bought 6 pretzels and 6 sodas, which totaled $30. How much did one soda cost?

first family bout 5 PRETZELS and 4 SODAS and the second family bought 6 PRETZELS and 6 SODAS
So immanently 5 is wrong because that would be too much and not fit the amount that the families spent
4 is also incorrect because the price is not reasonable it’s to high and out of budget for both of the families

3 is the only right answer also 2 is wrong (wrote this in rush)

Lets say pretzels=x and sada=y
5x+4y=22
6x+6y=30
Multiply the first equation by-3
And the second by 2
-15x-12y=-66
12x+12y=60
Add them together
-3x=-6
X=6/3
X=2

5x+4y=22
Replace the x by 2
We will get
10+4y=22
4y=12
Y=12/4
Y=3$
So the price of soda is 3$
