From the graph, the y-intercept is the point (0,40). We can calculate the slope of the line, given two points, using the following formula


\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1),(x_2,y_2)_{} \\ \Rightarrow m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \end{gathered}

In our case,


\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(0,40),(x_2,y_2)=(2,0) \\ \Rightarrow m=(0-40)/(2-0)=-20 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line is


\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ \Rightarrow y=-20x+40 \end{gathered}

The answer is y=-20x+40
