Functions

In many cases, when we evaluate functions, we just have to replace x with a given value and simplify the expression.

Solving the Question

g(x)=(1)/(4)x+1

⇒ To solve for g(-16), plug in -16 as x:

g(x)=(1)/(4)(-16)+1\\\\g(x)=-4+1\\\\g(x)=-3

Answer

g(-16) = -3
