let x be the unknown number.

(3)/(4) x - 6 = 9 \\ (3)/(4) x(4) - 6(4) = 9(4) \\ 3x - 24 = 36 \\ 3x = 36 + 24 \\ 3x = 60 \\ (3x)/(3) = (60)/(3) \\ x = 20

THE UNKNOWN NUMBER IS 20

Answer:

x = -4

Explanation:

6-(3)/(4) x=9

-(3)/(4)x=9-6

x=(3)/(-(3)/(4) ) =-(12)/(3)

x=-4

Hope this helps
