The equation 8x-6y=1 is graphed in the xy-plane. What is the slope of the line?

-1/6, because you have to move x to the right side of the equal sign and 8x turns negative. Then, you divide each term by -6 to get y isolated and get yourself a slope-intercept problem. Now once you’ve done that you should get y=-1/6x + 8/6
