The Colonists rebelled against the British Government by dumping tea into the harbor so they didn't have to pay the tea tax that was set up so they had to pay for the tea and they had the right to rebel and fight for their freedom cause the Tea act was supposed to make them pay for tea and the British government made the tea expensive and that made them mad and rebel and fight for freedom.
