We know for any rectangle with length I and
width, w
Area of rectangle = Iw and
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(1+w)
Suppose the side lengths are doubled
Now length = 21 and width = 2w
New Area= 2l * 2w
= 4lw
i.e. 400% times is the new area.
New perimeter = 2(2l + 2w) = 4(l + w)

New perimeter is 200% times the old perimeter.
