stage 1: alarm ; increased heart rate, sweating, nervous fidgeting, feeling tense, anxious, worried or scared

stage 2: resistance ; fatigue, sleep disturbances, irritability, poor concentration, chronic anxiety

stage 3: exhaustion ; depression, possible sleep deprivation, chronic anxiety
