The 7th grade basketball team played 15 games in total. If they had 9 out of those 15 games they lost the other 6. So, the ratio of losses to wins is 6:9. Losses goes first because its first in the word problem. To simplify a ratio find the number they both divide into. In this case its 3. 6 divided by 3 is 2. And 9 divided by 3 is 3. So in simplest form the answer is 3:2 :)
