Explanation: Due process is justified in the interpretation of the Fifth Amendment, which states nobody should be deprived of life, liberty, and property without due process of law. This statement, however, did not apply to Blacks at the time because the 3/5 Compromise rendered Blacks to be property, meaning every 3 out of 5 slaves were considered a part of representation.
