The bull’s-eye on a target has a diameter of 5 inches. The whole target has a diameter of 13.5 inches. What part of the whole target is the bull’s-eye? Enter your answer as a decimal.

Answer:

13.71% or rounded we have 14%

Explanation:

We need to find the area so we need to use the formula of Area = piR^2

>> Area of bulls-eye = π(2.5)^2 = 19.63in^2

>> Area of whole target = π(6.75)^2 = 143.13in^2

NOTE: The target values above are halved values of 5 and 13.5

Now, all we have to do is divide the area of the bullseye by the area of the target, so some simple stuff.

19.63/143.13 > 0.13714804 > In a percent we have 13.71% or rounded we have 14%
