What is meant by the statement "dna unites all organisms"?

Answer:

all organisms have DNA, this means there must have been a common ancestor from which these organisms are derived. Therefore, every living thing has DNA, the special molecule which indicates all of the organisms characteristics. Though we do not know who the "parental" ancestor was, we know that DNA is in every organism which came from that "parent."
