Paradox is like a statement which is ironic & contrary to its meaning or others statements or expectations but once we think about it we realize that the statement while weird is actually true or at least most of the time.

This paradox is totally contrary. Social media was created so that people connect with different people from different regions & cultures. So, how does it disconnect you from each other then? Well, social media has a lot of disadvantages too. Since it's really addictive we can forget about the real people who we know better in real life & so it disconnects us with our close friends & family. This is an example of a paradox. Ironic but true at the same time.
