Answer: x=-8 y=7

Explanation:

\displaystyle\\\left \{ {{-2x-5y=-19\ \ \ \ (1)} \atop {3x+2y=-10\ \ \ \ \ (2)}} \right.

Multiply both parts of the equation (1) by 3 and multiply both parts of the equation (2) by 2:

\displaystyle\\\left \{ {(-2x)(3)-(5y)(3)=(-19)(3)} \atop {(3x)(2)+(2y)(2)=(-10)(2)}} \right. \\\\\left \{ {{-6x-15y=-57\ \ \ \ (3)} \atop {6x+4y=-20\ \ \ \ (4)}} \right. \\

Summarize equations(3) and (4):

-11y=-77

Divide both parts of the equation by -11:

y=7

Hence,

3x+2*7=-10\\3x+14=-10\\3x+14-14=-10-14\\3x=-24

Divide both parts of the equation by 3:

x=-8
