Answer:

The figure A is translated from the third quadrant to the second quadrant thus the formula used is P(x,y) = T(a,b) = Image of P(x+a, y+b). The object A and its image B are congruent and the direction and magnitude of the displacements are given by the direction and magnitude of translation vector t = ( a,b ). Where, a is the horizontal displacement ( along x-axis ) and b is the vertical displacement ( along y-axis ).
