Answer:

ρ = M / V ρ = density

M = ρ * V = 132.5 cm^3 * .01932 kg / cm^3 = 2.561 kg

Note: Water has a density of 1000 kg / m^3 = 1E-3 kg / cm^3

So the equivalent weight of water would be

1.0E-3 kg/cm^3 * 132.5 cm^3 = .132 kg for the water

The specific gravity of the Au is 2.561 / .132 = 19.4 (correct)
