Hi!

\diamondsuit Plug in 2 for y:

\boldsymbol{2^3+5(2)}

\diamondsuit Cube 2 first:

\boldsymbol{8+5(2)}

\diamondsuit Multiply 5 times 2 next:

\boldsymbol{8+10}

\diamondsuit Add.

\boldsymbol{18}

Therefore,

\stackrel{\heartsuit}{\boxed{\boxed{\boldsymbol{Answer:~~18}}}}

Cheers!!

I hope I helped, have an amazing rest of your day!
