Answer:

Perimeter = 2(length) + 2(width)

Perimeter = 2(17.4x - 0.8) + 2(6X)

Perimeter = 34.8x - 1.6 + 12x

Perimeter = 46.8x - 1.6

perimeter of a rectangle is adding all the sides
it has two parallel and same sides
therefore multiply each side by 2 and add them
2(17.4x-0.8)+2(6x)
34.8x-1.6+12x
46.8x-1.6 is the perimeter
