4 - 2x - 14 = 3x + 15 Combine

-2x- 10 = 3x + 15 Add 2x to both sides

- 10 = 2x + 3x + 15 Combine

-10 = 5x + 15 Subtract 15 from both sides

-10 - 15 = 5x Combine the left side

-25 = 5x Divide by 5

-25/5 = 5x/5

x = - 5
