How do you simplify 6x + 2x -9 = 15

Answer: x=3

6x+2x-9+15
Start by adding the x’s giving you
8x -9 = 15
Now add 9 to the other side to give you 8x by itself
8x=24
Now divide both sides by 8 as that’s the coefficient for the x giving you
X=3
