As someone who was born before 9/11 happened, 9/11 continued to affect our lives here in America. For example, the metal detectors that we see today at the airport are heavily secured including the presence of Transportation Security Administration. Back then, there weren’t as many nuclear or surveillance organizations that formed in terms of emergency management. There’s still fear that triggers the targeted victims of 9/11 psychologically and mentally. Although, there’s safety guidelines and procedures being conducted in public spaces till now as well as before boarding on the plane or taking flight, some tend to over analyze the long term effects of losing a loved one and sense danger even though there’s less of a chance that any incident would happen to the attendants if they took all necessary precautions. My new generation would be referring to the time period of the twin towers as a secondary source that historians study over critical thinking... However, the following generation that were in the time and setting of encountering the hijackers are the primary source since they’ve witnessed a turning point in history.
