Why does gallium change states in someones hand?

Answer: At temperatures over 29.76°C, which is below our usual body temperature of 37°C, the element gallium becomes a liquid. Whenever liquid gallium is poured from your hand onto a room-temperature surface, it solidifies. When a liquid changes state to become a solid, it expands similarly to water.
