4x4= 16 when a number is squared like, in this case, 4, you multiple it twice. for instance, 8 squared would be 8x8. it applies to all numbers.

Answer:

4^(2) = 4 x 4 =16

Explanation:

First of all we need to understand what a perfect square is:

It is an integer which is the square of another integer integer; in other words, it is the product of some integer with itself.

For example: 9, this is a square number since itt equals
3^(2) and 3x3 = 9
