Could the Cold War have been avoided? Could the US and the Soviet Union have worked together to build a better world or was a conflict between the two powers inevitable? Support your reasoning with examples.

Answer: I do not think the Cold War could've been avoided along with the US and Soviet Union working together because there was many reasons and prior events that led up to the Cold War. Some of these reasons for example were, the United States and the Soviet Union represented two opposing systems of government or scare of nuclear weaponry. I think the numerous interactions and events between the US and Soviet Union made it so that there would inevitably be some sort of major conflict.
