It is not a square, square has equal sides.
Using Pythagoras Theorem
a^2+b^2=c^2
(1.2)^2+(2.3)^2= c^2
c^2= 6.73
c= 2.594224354214569 (Negative value rejected, length cannot be negative)
Therefore the diagonal should be longer.
