Answer:

Daniel Shays rebelled against the government because of heavy taxes. All the states had to pay their war debt and Massachusetts decided to do this by collection taxes. As a farmer, Shays was hit hard by the taxes. He decided to revolt against the government for the high taxes and heavy debt.
