There are 28 students in a 5th grade class. If 3/4 of the students are boys, how many are girls?

There are 7 girls and 21 boys

Answer:

28/28- 21/28= 7/28 = 1/4

Explanation:

1/4 of the students are girls.

To get the answer, I changed the fractions for them to have the same denominator, and subtracted them.
