It would be 0.4. Adding a -3 is the same as subtracting a +3. Think of it as 3-2.6. It would be 0.4. But it would be negative because 3, is a bigger value than 2.6 even tho -3 is actually less than 2.6. Use the sign of the larger number when adding and subtracting!

-0.4 because when adding a negative number, the number becomes smaller. It is the same as subtracting 3 from 2.6
