Explanation:
Let;
y = 115⁰ with the diagram above ( co- interior angles are equal)
Also the y being 115⁰ and Z are on a straight line and must add up to 180⁰
115⁰ + Z = 180⁰
Z = 180⁰ - 115⁰
Z = 65⁰
Now; our Z being 65 and the question ( X -2) are on a straight line.
So; ( X - 2 ) + 65 = 180⁰
X + 63 = 180⁰
X = 180⁰ - 63
X = 117⁰
OR
Let y = 115⁰ ( co- interior angles)
now y is vertically opposite to ( X - 2 ) and must be equal .
So;
(x -2) = 115⁰
x = 115⁰ +2
x = 117 ⁰
therefore the value of x is 117⁰
