answer:
x= 27/28

step of work:

2x-1/4+x/3=2 <=> 2x+x/3 = 2+1/4
2x+x/3=(2x*3+x)/3 = 7x/3
2+1/4=(2*4+1)/4 = 9/4
7x/3 =9/4
7x = 3*9/4=27/4
x=27/4*7 = 27/28
