this is tricky b/c they are making the two triangles of different scales but of the same angles.... soooo one is just a bigger copy of the other....

Since this is a relation of the two side of each.. we can say the following...


(6)/(9) =
(4)/(x) where X = side LA soooo solve for X

(6)/(9) = 4 (move the X , to the other side of the '=' sign

x = 4 *
(9)/(6) ( yes.. we want to invert the fraction to move it to the other side )

x =
(36)/(6)

x = 6

so side LA is 6 :)
