Adjacent = 30yeards

The missing length is x

Using the pythagoras theorem

hyp^2 = opp^2 + adj^2

50^2 = 30^2 + x^2

2500 = 900 + x^2

x^2 = 2500 - 900

x^2 = 1600

x = √1600

x = 40yards

Hence the length of the missing side is 40 yards
