The cost to rent a scooter is $15.50 per hour and the cost to rent a bicycle is $22.80 per hour. Use the expression 15.5s + 22.8w to determine how much it would cost to rent a scooter for / hours and a bicycle for / hours?

Answer:

It doesn't say how many hours, but you would plug in the number of hours for the variables 's' and 'w'.

Explanation:

If you needed a bicycle or scooter for 3 hours, you would plug 3 into the equation.

15.5s + 22.8w

15.5(3) + 22.8(3)

Then you would multiply:

15.5 x 3 = 46.5

22.8 x 3 = 68.4

Then you would add the sums:

46.5 + 68.4 = 114.9
