Gia receives an allowance of $2 a week and already has $20 in savings. Michael receives an allowance of $3 a week and already has $5 in savings. Gia and Michael both save their entire allowance. After how many weeks, will Gia and Michael have the same amount in savings? How much money will they have?

After 15 weeks, Gia and Micheal will both have $50 in savings.

Explanation:

For Gia:

We start at $20 since she already has $20 in savings, we will add that to how much Gia will receive in 15 weeks.

Gia receives $2 a week and therefore in 15 weeks she will have $50.

= 2x15 = $30

= 30+20 = $50

For Micheal:

We start at $5 since he already has $5 in savings, we will add that to how much Micheal will receive in 15 weeks.

Micheal receives $3 a week and therefore in 15 weeks he will receive $50

= 3x15 = $45

= 5+45 = $50
