I have i need to use the substitution method to work out what x and y is

5y−2x=10
8x+5y=60

Answer:

pick the simplest of the 2 equations

Explanation:

5y-2x=10

5y = 2x +10

y = 2/5x + 2

now substitute

8x + 5(2/5X +2)=60

8x + 2x + 10 = 60

10x = 50

x = 5

y = 4
