Live. Late Night with Stephen Colbert, and The New Yorker have come down hard on President Trump. Do you think these examples of satire are
effective? Do they do anything? What are your feelings on shows or articles that satirize political figures?

1. Yes, we use humor like me.mes and funny movies during times of stress and sadness. Corona me.mes are very popular right now and it helps distract people from the seriousness of corona.

2. No, while comedy can help portray the message the writers want, but there are still a large number of Trump supporters out there. So while they made us liberals laugh while Jim Carrey and Alec Baldwin did amazingly it as Trump and Biden, it didn't really change anything. I feel like things like these aren't exactly necessary but it does help make something fun out if something serious.

3. Sometimes, here's why. When we make art of something real, something worth fighting for and it causes a shift. Some people may change their views because of the realization. But most of the time people just look at it, they look at the whole picture, and ignore the small details.

Change has to happen for America to grow, we can't grow if we continue to live like it's 2005.
