Hey there! I'm happy to help!

In Spanish, you have to conjugate the verbs differently depending on if you are using an informal or formal you. So if you are talking to your friend or a child or something like that, you can use the informal tú, but if you are talking to your boss, a teacher, a doctor, etc., you need to use the formal version: usted.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. ALMA Y FRANCISCO

This appears to be two friends. They can both use tú.

Alma: ¡Hola Francisco! ¿Cómo estás?

Francisco: Estoy muy bien. ¿Y tú?

Alma: He estado fantástico.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. EL SEÑOR GARCIA Y ALMA

Alma is going to be talking to her teacher, so she should use usted, but the teacher doesn't have to as Alma is his student and not his superior.

Alma: ¡Hola Señor Garcia! ¿Cómo está usted?

Señor Garcia: Estoy muy bien. ¿Y tú?

Alma: He estado fantástico.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. LA SEÑORA RAMOS Y EL SEÑOR ALONSO

These are two teachers, and while they might be friends, they are in a professional setting and should use a more formal you.

Señora Ramos: ¡Hola Señor Alonso! ¿Cómo está usted?

Señor Alonso: Estoy muy bien. ¿Y usted?

Señora Ramos: He estado fantástico.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. UN MAESTRO Y UNA ESTUDIANTE

This is going to be the same thing as #2. We have the student using usted (to talk formally to her teacher) and the teacher using informal you.

Estudiante: ¡Hola Señor! ¿Cómo está usted?

Maestro: Estoy muy bien. ¿Y tú?

Alma: He estado fantástico.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. DOS AMIGOS

This is going to be the same thing as #1. We have two friends, so they can both use the informal version of you.

Amigo #1: ¡Hola amigo! ¿Cómo estás?

Amigo #2: Estoy muy bien. ¿Y tú?

Amigo #1: He estado fantástico.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have a wonderful day and keep on learning! :D
